The Falls
Edition Of 20

The table was named ‘The Falls’ because of the way the legs fall gently away from the glass top. Much like waters effortless drop over the edge of a waterfall.
The base is made from 30 thin slices of jarrah glued and pressed using two-part formers. This technique results in invisible glue lines and is utilised extensively throughout the Contemporary Arrangements Collection.
Once the glue has set the two components are sized, cut in half, and rejoined with a four-way mitre join.
Glass was chosen for the top for two reasons. Firstly as a solid surface. This sees the piece function, as a coffee table should. Secondly for its transparency. The entire design is on show. Nothing hidden, nothing blocked from view. Sheer simplicity.
